Esler Construction LLC is owned and operated by founder Matt Esler and business Partner Jason Brunn. We have been working in Maple Grove and around the Twin Cities since our founding in 2016. Both Matt and Jason have been in the construction field for over 20 years and have experience with all aspects of home construction.

Esler Construction was founded to focus on decks with the desire to use the highest quality products and create the best space for their customers. The business has evolved to include an array of services to create an outdoor destination for our customers and their families. As a fully licensed general contractor we can design and create any space you wish and we partner with excellent specialists to make it happen.
At Esler Construction, we picture frame all of our projects. Installing a border deck board around the outside of a deck is known as "picture framing". This technique adds interest to an otherwise ordinary job and can elevate an already-great deck to another level.
We only use engineered glulam beams and the highest quality materials. Glulam is a stress-rated engineered wood beam composed of wood laminations, or "lams", that are bonded together with durable, moisture-resistant adhesives. The grain of the laminations runs parallel with the length of the member. Glulam is versatile, ranging from simple, straight beams to complex, curved members.
We only use helical piles for our footings. A helical foundation pier is a foundation pin made of steel, 7' long minimum, and contains a helical screw head used to drive into the earth. A helical screw pile foundation solution is a lasting solution. It requires no excavation, has minimal impact on the landscape, and is suitable for all soil conditions.
Esler Construction has built over 250+ Trex decks, 50 of those constructed in the last year. That means experience. Matt founded Esler Construction in 2016 with the goal of focusing on high quality outdoor spaces, with an emphasis on decks. With a background in all aspects of residential construction he enjoys combining his framing and finishing experience to create a project that will last for decades and has the high end finishes his customers demand. His favorite part of the job is getting to meet with clients and determine exactly what they need and the best way to make it a reality.
Jason has been a fixture on Esler Construction’s site since the beginning but became a partner in the business as of early 2022. Jason is a master carpenter and is the core of the framing crew at Esler Construction. He started working with his father’s framing company at the age of 15 and has never looked back. Jason loves spending time with his wife and kids and excels at making our projects efficient and of the highest quality.
